For me, family history is about far more than names and dates on a page. It is about understanding where you come from, discovering the lives that shaped your family, and creating a connection between past and present that can be treasured for generations. My own journey into genealogy began from a deeply personal place.
I first started researching my family history as a way to support my mental health and wellbeing. What began as a simple search for answers quickly became something much more meaningful. I was amazed by how fascinating it was to uncover forgotten names, hidden stories, and the places my family once called home. The more I discovered, the more passionate I became. Learning about where I came from gave me a sense of connection, perspective, and comfort. It turned curiosity into purpose, and that passion soon grew into a desire to help others experience the same feeling.
